AFC Stoneham 4 Bashley 7
Division 2- Hants County Youth League

A pulsating four goal lesson in finishing by Bashley striker Brogen Sims put a seal on this eleven-goal thriller and increased his personal tally to eight goals in three games. After a quiet opening Bashley took and early lead when Josh Cook took full advantage of a hesitant goalkeeper; a lead that didn’t last long as the Eastleigh side equalised against the run of play. This was fuel to the fire for the bustling Sims who took full advantage of the support of playmaker Jonny Davis and telling crosses from both flanks to complete a first-half hattrick.

Brogen SimsIt, therefore, came as something of a shock when Stoneham started the second half with two quick goals and at 3-4 the game was still very much alive. But Bashley at other ideas and goals from Jamie Johnson (penalty), Lucas James and inevitably, Brogen Sims, put the game beyond doubt despite Stoneham adding a fourth.
