Bashley Ease in the next Round

September 18th, 2019|

Bashley 4 Folland Sports 1 (Whiteley 45′ Nicholls 61′ Sansom 74’og McGrath 89′) (Hawkins 53p’) Hants Senior Cup Round 2 Tuesday September 17th The game started with both team showing an intention to win, Bashley were quickly into gear and claimed the midfield but found the Folland goal-area a harder nut to crack. The visitors on the other hand surprised with several fast breaks and Jason Collins in the home goal was by far the busiest keeper. September 16th, 2019|

Bashley 2 Horndean 1 Hants County Youth League Division 2 Sunday 15th September 2019 On a Sunday best spent on the beach, young Bashley made light of the temperature to record a well-deserved win. Sam Eames opened the scoring when his dipping cross-shot from wide distance dropped in over the goalkeeper’s head. Bash were very much in charge and a bustling run and cross from Barnaby Smith was met and buried by Kieran Olley. Horndean became more active in the second half and scored via a penalty with thirty minutes still to play. The hot conditions were taking their [...]

September 16th, 2019|

Fawley 2 Bashley 4 Wyvern Combination League West Saturday 14th September 2019 Fawley’s 100% league record looked safe after they took an early lead by taking full advantage of a defensive error. Bashley, stung into action, replied with two well worked goals; the first an athletic diving header from Kyle John-Clement from a Matty Crowe free kick followed by a well-placed finish by Greg Cooper. Bash on the Wrong End of a One Goal Thriller

September 8th, 2019|

Bashley 0 Alresford Town 1 Wessex Premier With both sides unbeaten in the league this was destined to be an intriguing game and Saturdays’ thriller didn’t disappoint. Play was end to end from the start but surprisingly goal mouth thrills were at a premium with both defences placing no-entry signs around their respective goal areas. Bashley, working the ball from the back, dominated up to the box but anything in the air was easy pickings for the tall Alresford defence. The size difference was apparent from the start and the visitors made full use of this advantage with long-throw specialist [...]
